(CMYK) Separation Four-Color Process for screen printing with Underbase :

(CMYK) Separation:
Four-Color Process Screen Printing** uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK) to create full-color images by blending these process colors. While this method covers a wide range of tones, bright colors like green and orange may need additional Spot Colors for more vivid, saturated results. Fluorescent and metallic colors can’t be achieved through standard CMYK mixing and require additional Spot Colors for accurate printing. Four-color process screen printing differs from offset printing, and we provide high-quality color separations tailored for both light and dark T-shirts.
Acceptable File Formats :
- ADOBE PHOTOSHOP (*.PSD, *TIFF, *.EPS - Encapsulated POSTSCRIPT)

Got any questions?
What is CMYK four-color process separation?
It’s a method that uses four ink colors—Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black—to recreate full-color images, especially photographs and detailed artwork.
Is CMYK suitable for printing on all fabric colors?
CMYK works best on white or very light-colored garments or paper. For dark garments, simulated process separation is a better option.
What kind of artwork works best for CMYK separations?
Photographic images or complex illustrations with subtle color gradients and full-color detail are ideal for CMYK separations.
Can you convert my RGB image to CMYK for screen printing?
Yes, I can convert and adjust your RGB image to a CMYK profile optimized for printing, including halftone adjustments.
What file format should I provide to you for CMYK separation?
High-resolution (300 DPI) files in PSD, TIFF, JPG, or PNG formats work well. The artwork should be flattened or layered if color corrections are needed.
What LPI or halftone frequency do you use?
Typically 45–65 LPI for garments and 85–150 LPI for paper prints, depending on fabric type and print method.
What files will I receive after separation?
You’ll get print-ready PSD or PDF files with CMYK channels or separated layers, along with halftone-ready versions if requested.
How long does a CMYK separation project take?
Turnaround is usually 1–3 business days, depending on artwork complexity and revision needs.
Can you show me some samples of your previous work?
Yes, you can visit my portfolio.
What are your designer's working hours?
Designers work on Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00 (GMT+2).
Will my printer be able to use the CMYK files easily?
Yes. I prepare files using standard print specs with labeled separations, halftone screens, and file formats compatible with most RIP and screen printing systems.
What is your 7-day money-back guarantee?
All our plans come with a full 7-day money-back guarantee. If, after several design requests, you still don’t think Atexsell is the right fit for you, we will refund 100% of your initial membership fee.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes, you can pause your subscription for up to 7 days, but only during the 3rd month of your subscription.
